The 4th Annual OpenSimulator Community Conference is being held this week on December 10 -11, 2016

The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the developer and user community creating the OpenSimulator software. Organized as a joint production by Core Developers of OpenSimuator and AvaCon, the virtual conference features presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, and social events across diverse sectors of the OpenSimulator user base.

One of the organizers is our own Cynthia Calongne (Lyr Lobo).
Dr. Cynthia Calongne, aka Lyr Lobo, is a professor, author and researcher with 20 years of experience in developing virtual environments and teaching.

For 13 years, she worked as a software engineer and a systems programmer for Air Force Space Command and on Capitol Hill. In 2010, Andy Stricker, Mike McCrocklin, and Cynthia Calongne won the first $25,000 Grand Prize in the Federal Virtual World Challenge for the Mars Expedition Strategy Challenge.
